Summary: Our faith in Jesus gives the most accurate reading of the health of our relationship with God. This faith calls us into a oneness with God and transcends the divisions of the world. If we reject this oneness, we often succumb to diviciveness, which opens us to the indictment of foolishness with which St. Paul labeled the people of Galatia. |

Summary: If we accept the law/teaching of the Bible as a disciplinarian, we see how it helps us mature. In that maturity, we can truly become the family of God, in which all people live in harmony, with no divisions or conflict. |

Summary: Jesus’ prayer for the church in John 17 was that they might be “one.” In this passage, Paul declares that the believers are “one in Christ Jesus” and that the differences that often separate us are erased in Christ. Yet many today will say we’ve still got a long way to go in reaching what Paul declared as fact. Fully accepting the truth of being one in Christ will change our lives and the life of the church. |

Summary: Through faith in Jesus Christ, we are adopted by God and become a part of God’s family; we become part of a family of God that began thousands of years ago with Abram and Sarai. The faith that leads to our adoption, however, is not the same thing as simple belief. Such faith is a trust in God and is a greater life that we cannot fully see or understand. It begins for us with choosing baptism, or confirming the baptismal vows made for us as infants. |

Summary: Far from restricting us, God’s law frees us to live life in all its fullness. |

Summary: Faith in Jesus is the measure of our relationship with God. No other measure, not even the law, can give an accurate reading of the health of that relationship. It is a faith that calls us into a oneness that transcends the divisions of the world. To reject this oneness in favor of the divisions to which we often succumb opens us to the indictment of foolishness with which St. Paul labeled the people of Galatia. |
